From September 15, Thailand’s boutique airline, Bangkok Airways, will be offering four flights a week between Bangkok and Mandalay.
The Airbus 319 service operates on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with Bangkok Airways’ flight PG709 departing Bangkok at 12pm and arriving at Mandalay at 1.30pm. The return flight PG710 takes off at 2.10pm and lands at Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi Airport at 4.35pm. Tucked away in upper Myanmar, Mandalay is considered the country’s cultural hub. The city draws the travellers with trips to Buddhist temples, pagodas and boat rides along Irrawaddy River. The airline is offering a round trip ticket for Bt3,790 until November 30.
